Fall Baking

OOOhhhh my goodness! I am SO ready for Fall and all that comes with it!! I was home from school last weekend so of course it was time to do some experimenting! I made Caramel Apple cupcakes and Sweet Potato Cupcakes! Yummmmy! I love anything sweet potato so that was obviously my favorite! I wasn't sure if I would even like the caramel apple... but I LOVED it! So did everyone who tried! I made an apple puree and mixed it with a cinnamon-y cupcake. It had a cream filling and homemade caramel on top! DELISH! The sweet potato was kind of the same thing. I made fresh sweet potato puree and put it with a cinnamon cake. All topped off with a brown sugar frosting/ topping. It was SO rich so I mixed it with buttercream to lessen the sweetness, but that wasn't quite right either. I must work get to work on making that 100%!!

Once again these pictures are from my iPhone. Maybe Santa will bring me a new camera.. but I would rather have a new Kitchenaid mixer! Oh, the life of a baker! xoxo

I made these back in July for a couple of friends birthday that I was going to go to Florence for. I had just gotten back from my mission trip, worked all day to make special treats, them woke up sick on the day I was supposed to leave... BUMMER. I had to take pictures of the totally cute treats tho!
